Here’s a little about me:

 

I trained as an actor and singer. Once I left Drama school, I found that all I wanted to do was sing, entertain and make people laugh - this is when I discovered the wonderful world of cabaret. 

I have been a professional cabaret compère for 2 decades and have picked up a lot of expertise along the way. 

I’m a writer and comedian and have won awards in musical comedy and acting. I’ve pretty much worked solidly doing my own thing for the last 15 years. And I love it!

The reason I’ve started this course is to give actors/singers the vital skills that can get you from doing someone else’s work to having to the tools to put on your own show. This course will help you with the confidence to talk to an audience as a whole and picking out individuals. Cabaret is not theatre and it’s not musical theatre, it has its own place. 

I have taught singing and acting one on one for a long time with great results! 

The reason I have gone for the group workshop is, I find that people can pick ideas and learn from others as well as it being a fun, collaborative experience. Cabaret is all about bringing people together both on stage and off. 

 

The course is £200 for 5 main sessions and a showcase to a random audience as well as friends and family invites
